Channel Spaces
Summary
Path: channel settings -> "Spaces". Spaces are chats, groups, topics, posts, channels, threads, or other areas within the platform.
In the section you can
- look at the tree of spaces;
- search;
- filter;
- update;
- open details;
- refresh an individual space from the details dialog when you need fresh data for a specific chat, post, or thread.
Bulk refresh
The refresh button retrieves the selected channel spaces again. The result shows how many items were refreshed, skipped, or failed.
Check the status and result in background process history. If the refresh is stuck or finishes with errors, open the process details and check channel permissions, webhook/synchronization, and whether the platform supports this space type.
Examples of types
- community or category;
- group chat or channel;
- forum or discussion topic;
- message thread;
- post or post comments;
- Discord server, category, channel, or thread;
- Telegram chat, channel, or forum topic;
- VK chat, wall post, or discussion topic;
- MAX chat or channel;
- Avito listing.
Space details may include
- username;
- external ID;
- Post or chat ID;
- last message;
- date of creation and update on the platform;
- number of participants;
- number of messages or comments;
- source;
- link to an external source;
- search matches.
For VK and Telegram post threads, details may show a post card: space type, cover or media preview, text, comment count, and a source link if it is available.
For a new dialog created from a VK wall post comment, the post card may initially use the community name and image. Senler requests the publication data and updates the title, text, cover, and link when VK provides them. If the card is still generic, wait briefly and open it again; refresh the space manually only if the data remains unchanged for a long time.
Project operator for a space
If the team writes through an external chat or channel that Senler would otherwise treat as a third-party sender, you can mark that space as a Project operator. Messages and button clicks sent as that space then remain in the dialog and history but do not trigger or assign the agent.
Open the space in the list and change the Project operator switch in its details. This requires permission to manage spaces. The switch is saved immediately and affects new messages; it can also be changed through an available Senler management AI tool or the API.
The mark does not change rights on the external platform, connect a channel, or change project membership. Do not use it for a customer chat or channel: new messages from that space would stop triggering the agent.
If the space operator replies while AI is preparing a customer response, the pending response is canceled by default. Remove the mark in the same way to restore regular automatic processing.
The connected group or channel itself usually does not need a separate mark: Senler already distinguishes the current space's own activity from a customer message.
When to mark a space rather than a lead, how to avoid stopping customer replies, and how to verify the change are covered in Project Operator and Agent Replies.
If the space is not shown
- refresh spaces;
- check the channel rights;
- check webhook/synchronization;
- check if the platform supports this type of space.
