Normatives in Insight

In Insight, open the Normatives tab to find indicators that deviate from their norm. Unlike anomalies, the reference is the metric's norm, not other agents' performance.

Where the norm comes from

If a norm is defined for the metric, it is used. Otherwise, the norm is calculated automatically: from the midpoint of the metric's numeric range or, if there is no suitable range, from the average value.

For example, a numeric metric ranging from 0 to 1 without a defined norm uses 0.5 as its reference. This is an automatically selected comparison point, not a mandatory business target. The tab has no separate field for entering a norm.

Reading the results

1. Select the Normatives tab.
2. In Problem metrics, find a metric card with an undesirable deviation from the norm.
3. In Agents requiring attention, compare agent cards to see which agents have these deviations most often.

In details, check the baseline and deviation. An increase is not always good: the result is evaluated using the metric's direction. For comparison over time, open Trends.
