Quick Start

Follow this route when setting up Senler AI for the first time. At the end, you will have a project with a connected channel, a published agent, and your first test dialog.

If the project or channel is already ready, start with the relevant section and skip the completed actions.

Create a project

Open the project creation page, keep the suggested name “My first project” or enter your own, and click Next. Once created, the project workspace opens with its side menu.

If the project already exists, simply open it and check the current project name in the side panel before making changes.

Connect a channel and open agent creation

  1. In the project side menu, open Channels.
  2. On the channel page, click Add channel.
  3. Select a platform and complete its connection form. Separate instructions are available for Telegram, VK, the website widget, and other channels.
  4. Once the channel is connected, open Agents in the side menu.
  5. On the Agents page, click the create agent button.

Before continuing, open the connected channel settings and make sure it is active.

Configure the agent

On the creation method screen, start auto-training if you want to prepare the agent foundation from project materials, or choose manual creation if you already understand its task.

Enter a clear name and write instructions describing the agent's task, the information it should request, how it should respond, and when it should hand the dialog over to an operator. Then choose a model and connect the Knowledge Base and other tools when needed. See Agent settings for a detailed description of the fields.

Finish the creation flow. The cabinet saves the agent as a draft that you can review and correct before launch.

Publish and launch the agent

Ask several typical questions on the Testing tab and review the replies. Then configure Autostart:

  • “Off” if the agent will be assigned manually or by another rule;
  • “By keywords and link” if the agent should start for configured phrases;
  • “On all messages” if the agent should automatically receive all matching new messages.

For an active mode, select the required dialog types and channels. Then publish the draft and activate the agent. If you later change its instructions, tools, or Autostart, publish the changes again.

Check the first reply

Send a test message to the connected channel, then open Dialogs and find the new conversation. Make sure that the intended agent responds and that its reply follows the instructions.

If there is no reply, check the channel status, agent publication and activity, and the Autostart mode in that order. Additional causes are listed under Why doesn't the agent answer?.

Expected result

After setup, check these four results:

  • the channel is connected and active;
  • the agent is created, published, and active;
  • Autostart or another assignment rule is configured for the required dialogs and channels;
  • the test message and the agent's reply are visible in the dialog.

After the first successful reply, you can work with Leads, evaluate results in Insight, and review spending and events in Statistics and project history.
